Review: Brine Solution: Current Status, Future Management and Technology Development

چکیده
Desalination brine is extremely concentrated saline water; it contains various salts, nutrients, heavy metals, organic contaminants, and microbial contaminants. Conventional disposal of desalination has negative impacts on natural marine ecosystems that increase the levels toxicity salinity. These issues demand development management technologies can lead to zero liquid discharge. Brine be productive by adopting economically feasible methodologies, which enables recovery valuable resources like freshwater, minerals, energy. This review focuses recent advances in using membrane/thermal-based their applicability water, mineral, energy recoveries, considering pros cons. also exemplifies hybrid processes for metal discharge may adopted, so far, as an appropriate futuristic strategy. The data analyzed outlook presented this could definitely contribute achievable future strategies sustainable management.
